why oh why did Burley not make Raziak take the first penalty? obvious choice IMHO-by letting Best take and miss the first one they were always on the back foot

the lad best should have been taken off earlier anyway after scoring an own goal. harsh but was even harsher to keep him on

 

Always a difficult one....some managers prefer their best penalty takers to be the first up and some prefer them to be later when, perhaps, more pressure is on

 

very important to get off to a good start

 

you could just see in his eyes that he was going to miss-he's obviously thinking-I'll have to make up for the own goal

pressure big time -miss and you're out

:'( My best mate lives in Soton and is a Saints STH. We going to go to Wembley , just as he came to Cardiff last May. He agrees with you, Best should never have taken that pen. He had a crap game, except for one pass for the second goal. He is inconsolable, I thought Saints were the better team over the 2 legs, but two mitakes cost them dear.
