and who might remotely be interested...... just had ours repaired by Dyson engineer who came out twice to my shop to try to fix our vac, second time to fit the parts he'd had to order, came out within two days of calling the dyson helpline, fitted a brand new motor, complete new cable, whole new base unit, new brush, was friendly, helpful...... and all for a basic cost of £55 ALL IN, guaranteed for one year as well.
You couldn't take it to a repair shop to get all that done for less than a hundred quid.
And our vac is about 4 years old and way out of warranty.
    Well done them !!!!!!!!!!

There are dyson engineers all over apparently covering towns and regions.
Phone number is, have you got a pen and paper, 08705 275104, repeat, 08705 275104.
They'll want the model number and serial number off the machine to register the repair.
