Our immediate future is tied to that of Conor Hourihane and the more we get behind him the better that future will be.
We seem to be in a bit of a shambles at the moment with players out on loan, some doing well, others not so. Same thing can be said of the first team players who are with us. We need a major stocktake of what we have followed by a clear out of those who are not going to make it.
We then need to address the gaps and bring in the right quality to fill them. Some of it requires investment, in other areas just a reallocation of what we are spending now.
I haven’t picked out any individual in this post and I’m sure we all have ideas about where we need to improve. Conor will make mistakes and there will be some frustration, but we need to have patience. I don’t know how much of that our fans have got.
I thought the first twenty five at Orient was the best of the season, give me more of that. I came away with respect for the opposition who were strong in the right places and with a coach who clearly knew how to give them determination.
I don’t think what happens in the next three games makes a scrap of difference. We are rebuilding now.
