I've just been reading, Rochdale have signed a 34 year old defender from Luton. So it looks like he's already set the wheel's in motion
Always remember this.............95% of the current squad was brought in by Keith Hill..........most of these players were 'has beens' and 'misfits'. He saw that they had talent and that talent is quite easy to see now............but it wasnt that long ago that the majority on here were slateing more or less every player in the squad..........especially Wiseman and Etuthu Its obvious that Flicker has got the motivational skills...........but has he got an eye for players as good as what Keith Hill has ????????????? I hope he has........... but I doubt he will have...........we will just have to wait and see what happens in the close season
I for one still wish we had Keith Hill at the club...........although with a change in roles for him and Flicker Let flicker take over the first team duties while allowing Keith to become director of football and advisor to Flicker Keith has shown during his time at THE WELL that he can build a team from nowt Flicker has shown he can get those players and mold them into an attractive fighting force
Keith Hill couldn't get the best out of Van Persie. If the ****** was still in charge now we'd be fifteen points off safety.
How do we know that it wasn't Flitcroft identifying the players that were signed by hill and himself? That would certainly explain why Tom Kennedy was signed but never played (and odd thing to do if the manager identified him and chased him) and the same with a few other players. Flitcroft said about Tunnicliffe that HE had been chasing him for years so he has obviously been targetting players while under hill
Or everything that's going right is down to Flitcroft and everything that didn't was Keith? I think that'll sum it up for the majority.
2012-2013 Hill: P26 W5 D6 L15 PTS 21, PPG 0.81 Flitcroft: P13 W8 D2 L3, PTS 26, PPG 2.00 I think that pretty much wraps up the Hill/Flicker debate
Yes. Everything that is going right at the moment is down to the manager who is employed by the club at the moment. Everything that went wrong under hill was down to the manager who was employed by the club at the time.
Thats unless you ask Flicker to join that debate................and I would guess that Flicker would not want to step down as manager.... BUT,............. yer can bet yer bottom dollar that, if he could, he would jump at the opportunity of having Keith back at the club in some capacity.
It's common knowledge (or I assume it is) that Flitcroft was the 'eyes and ears' of the operation. Kennedy for example, was a Flitcroft signing. Good friends off the pitch. Ala O'Grady and Dagnall. All Flitcroft signings. Suppose it's who/what you believe though.... But personally, as much as I loved then despised Keith, I still go out of my way to see what he's up to - never done that before with an ex manager. And we've had a few..
