    Why?

He got one, and he was woeful> personally I think his style is more suited to coming off the banch, when players are tired and giving us some spark and running at people

But I just can't see any of other strikers performing any better.

    In all fairness

Yesterday was not a good day to judge. The whole side was poor from the start and there was no service to the strikers at all - just some hopefull long punts.

You might be right about the coming on as an impact player but I am fairly sure had we started with Wright and Richards and brought Nariello on after an hour he would have made the same contribution

No, I think if you decide to go with him you give him plenty of chances

Personally though I don't think he's the saviour a lot of our fans do. Bring him on early in the second and give him a decent run, and I think he'll do very well. Play him fromm the start for an extended period and I expect people may be disillusioned quite soon.

Exactly, all Nardieelo and Wright got were long high balls pumped aimlessly into the box from a distance. Not once did Devaney beat his man, go for the byeline and put in a cross, or pull the ball BACK for a forward to run ONTO.
