I live in southern Spain and we're on the edge of the footprint. We need a 1.3 metre dish and channel five goes off when it's raining, like it is now. The box you are talking about looks great for people further away.

But you need the person who has Sky in the UK, with that box connected, to want to watch the channel that you want to watch. Good idea though....I suspect eventually it will be made illegal

Yes I've got Sky here in Hamburg with a 1m dish and it's normally fine even when raining but when it snows can only get BBC1

Like EastStander I suspect eventually it will be illegal but I've got the password for a mate's Slingbox in Silkstone - works a treat good quality can also use teletext and interactive services, control recorder etc in fact anything you can do with the Sky remote.
