What would he have to achieve for you to change your mind.

why do we have this every week

when you put anything down you just get abused by the Davey lovers.

If you dont agree with them , then your views are not valid, so I cant be arsed answering again

My question wasn't aimed at any one in particular. But its quite apparant that some fans on here don't give Simon Davey or indeed the club in general any credit. So my point is what would have to happen for theses fans to have a change of heart.,or is it a case of once you've made your mind up nothing will change it.

I have posted my opinions of Davey and why I have them several times

I have no respect for him, but I know of others that speak very highly about how he was when they met him.
I really hope he goes on to be the greatest manager in the World, but I cannot ever see myself actually liking him.

I think that the club as a whole treat the fans wityh very little respect, they have had a take it or leave it attitude for too long, after reading P Cryne`s comments the other day I am extremely hopeful that this will change.

Nudger uses the sight of other clubs shirts being worn in Barnsley, while you very rarely see Barnsley shirts anywhere else, as a sign of apathy in the town. Well the plain fact that a lot of teams shirts can be bought at various places in Barnsley and from mail order etc. yet the only place you can buy a BFC shirt is at Oakwell (if they have any left and in the right size), it amazes me that the club cannot see the opportunity to sell the replica strips elsewhere and that way get some interest from outside the town, instead of just crying about how poor our attendance is .If the only way to get a shirt isto come to Barnsley, then we will not sell as many as for example Sheff Weds, whose kit is available in shops all over the country. Barnsley just rely on the locals or people that already have connections with the town, very little is done to attract outsiders.

    Rant over.

He is too noncholant about poor performances/heavy defeats

After last season's game at West Brom and Davey making light of it I will never go to an away game on the last day while he is in charge. He also made some very ill advised comments after other heavy defeats e.g Southampton.

I am still to be convinced of his ability to judge a player and concerned about what he may do with this summer's transfer budget.

    Hope he proves me wrong

What more does he have to do?

He kept us up with a team full of league 2 bound players. Strenghtened the squad and has improved on last season. He's signed us some real gems, Nyatanga, De Silva, Muller, Campbell-Ryce, Macken, Odejayi etc.

Give him a large transfer budget and we'll push on.

    Simon Davey....

Fair play to the man. He's given us one of the liveliest season's we've had in bloody yonks! A roller coaster ride of Cup fever and relegation worries but, at the end of the day, we've had a season we would never, ever have imagined or dreamed of. Seriously; how many of would have ever thought we would have seen Barnsley FC in an FA Cup semi final? I for one never did, especially when i look back on the times of following the Reds with home gates of just barely 2,000 and receiving announcements that Larry McGettigan was joining us from Watford (amongst others). The 'Iley Out' days.... supporters waving notes at Geoff Buckle after the sale of John Beresford - police cordon around the ground and ejections for pleasure of such a statement. Receivership impending and..... amongst all things............ Willie bloody Ferry! (NOOO)

In my opinion he's been tactillay naive, especially away from home, but we have to remember he's new at this management thing and he's already given us a bloody great season to remember. In years to come this season will possibly be looked upon as 'the time Barnsley reached the semis/played at Wembley' etc. And bear in mind, Mr Davey did orchestrate two FA Cup victories against two semi finalists in the European Champions League (pint)

He has not scored with many of his chances this season!!!

He's a superb all round player. Maybe somewhere you may detect a hint of sarcasm.

Although I don't think he's anywhere near as bad as people make out.

What has most of that rant got to do with Simon Davey?. Perhaps we should go back to the days of Steve Parkin and the ***** displays most of his teams turned out - shish! (doh)
