Supplemented by a few well judged loan signing, Yes.

will taking a loan player involve us parting with any money?

Our first 11 are more than adequate

but our squad lacks quality and depth in certain areas. For example, after Hassell, Kay and Reid, there's a big drop in quality. The more games Williams, Tonge and sorry to say Heckinbottom play, the more goals we are likely to concede. Take Richards or Hayes out and we're towing til Nardiello gets fit, despite having 3 or 4 other 'strikers' on the books.

we'll get injuries and suspensions, its inevitable. I sincerely hope when we do try and plug a gap with a panic loan that there's summat to choose from.

    not really

We are OK if they are all fit and no suspensions, otherwise its back to papering over the cracks. That being said the defence really worries me,if you take them individually they seem fine but as a unit theres obvously something lacking.Which brings us back to the centrehalf and another striker debate.I think that what pisses me off mainly on the lack of movement in bringinging in new players is the contradicti on thatseems to keep coming out,one minute AR is happy with what hes got then were after somebody else, then GS is quoted somewhere as saying funds are available and then we seem to back off at what would on the face of it seem reasonable fees.To me either we are serious about bringing in players or we arent and should stop pissing about and raising peoples expectations, because for me thats what causes most of the unrest and arguments

I agree , our 1st 11 can cope quite comfortably,

and the drop off is substantial.

I am not sure we have the finances to carry 2 players for each position.

Hopefully some in the youth team will be able to step up for the odd game.

Maybe we can get Wayne Bridge in from Chelsea now Cole is there.

Warnock has made Shipps and Kozluck available

    I'd take both.

Is Kozluk a left back , as I think that is by far our weakest position at the moment.

Shepherd doesnt sign players, Ritchie does

Ritchie doesnt want them, Shepherd probably does but he isnt the manager, Ritchie wants to "give the lads a chance"

    Think so

and certainly has experience at Champ level. As for Shipperley, you cant argue with his record of promoted clubs, and believe it or not, he's only 31.
