For the sake of 8 chuffing minutes - is this really worth it?

    ....and would it not be cheaper and more effective to create free parking areas next to busy motorway junctions, where people can meet, park up and car share from there. After all, they do it now - unofficially in at least 3 places. It just needs tidying up a bit.</p>

    For someone who travels alone to Manchester every day this is an absolute disgrace.

    i'm serious, it would work and you would save 8 minutes every day.

    this will surely cost millions to set up, but once people see that the lane is empty i recon people will start car sharing more often. But then again what happens when everyone decides to use that lane - correct it will become just as bad as the other lanes. therefore a waste of time and money if you ask me.

    It won't affect them, only those that go to Leeds.

    That stretch of the M62 is a nightmare and summat needs doing about it. The tailbacks are also caused by the lorries struggling up the hill.
