I hope you've just seen it on TV. Utterly ridiculous challenge.

    Just seen it on tv

For me, he's late yes, but it isn't dangerous. There player goes down as he's broken his leg, strange really, cos he goes on to finish the match. Yellow card at the most.

    Who has defended that challenge?
Not read all the board mate, so I have not seen it! Stupid challenge could have cost us, but I think it actaually helped us, caused us to really get stuck in and show some balls!!

A 2 footed tackle is a red card.

    That's a 2 footed tackle.

End of discussion. Right infront of the referee, no more near the ball, absolutely brainless in a nothing area of the pitch.

Quite a few have said it wasn't a red card, Mark, which in the current climate I find amazing. He's only been outdone by Djibril Cisse for stupidity. Good job Stephen Dawson did the work of 2 men today.

Yellow card at the most? Not since the nineties I'm afraid. I'm not convinced that all two footed tackles warrant red cards - but that is the rule, it's a commonly known rule, it's the one rule where refs consistently seem to give the same decision, so mssrs cisse, and more importantly Doyle, are equal in their downright stupidity.

The fella at the side of me laughed and said don't be daft when I said 'he's off' the second Doyle made the tackle, before the ref gave it. It was a clear two footed tackle, and under the rules a clear sending off. No debate really - I agree it maybe shouldn't be a sending off, but the rules are clear

Red card all day long, for me. Even if it can be debated Doyle gives the ref the opportunity to send him off.

Some finish by Cotterill though - I like the slight bend he put on it.
