An absolutely stunning half-volley. Make sure you find the time to catch the highlights sometime over the weekend because it really was a moment of class to win a game we didn't look like winning.

He might not play well for 90 minutes, but you pay £1m+ for players who can win you the game with a bit of magic. Thats what he did today. Really top class goal.

I'd been very disappointed with his two home performances until that point

but what a strike, and you're right, you pay big money for a player who will win you games and Hume did that today.

Agreed. While he'd worked hard I'd been disappointed with him, but that was the kind of moment that lifts teams, and wins games. We needed it and he delivered. :)

I agree, great stike, 2 goals in 4 games so far....just hope he keeps it up to prove his money's worth as our out and out top scorer. Ive got to say as well that odejayi was in there once again causing problems before humes goal....as people have said...odejayi was a good substitute made at the right time.

Have to disagree, Howards against Cardiff was better, also the chip against QPR.

Agree about the Cardiff one, disagree about the QPR one. But they're all quality, lets hope Howard's still here after Monday to carry on like that.

What about a couple of corkers at Plymouth two seasons ago, seem to remember them being Racjzi (sp) and devaney. Well worth a long tuesday night trip! :D

Made possible by Odejayi's tussle with the defender who otherwise may have got a block in. Absolute peach of a strike though and the only thing he did right all afternoon.

A bit harsh. He didn't do a lot but not many small strikers can do a lot with the high-ball service that he was receiving. Put a real shift in, particularly in the last 20 minutes.

Agree, plenty of effort. But can't see the Hume/Macken partnership being successful. Both were chasing shadows most of the afternoon. Hume's goal incidentally came shortly after he had moved wide to play in El Haimour's position.
