at half time
much funnier than the subs blasting 30 yard shots into the ponty and laughing
lets hose down the east stand lower with the sprinkler system (how wet does a pitch have to be in december?)

The wind was blowing it into the stands, even the upper tier were getting it. Don't know why they need to water the pitch at half time, particularly when we've had plenty rain anyway.
Nobody wants to fight a southpaw.
Maybe we train on wet grass and wear the appropriate studs.

Davey requests it so we can zip the passing game around, Wilson used to ask for this as well and the grass cutting at different lengths depending on who we were playing. He wanted the ball to zip off the surface. At Sheff U Bassett used to shorten the pitch when playing passing teams so they didnt have much space to pass in. Obviously there's a limit to how short it can be.
