And myself, great fight, eh? Fair play to both fighters. I thought Froch was well ahead until the last two rounds. Started to worry that he was getting desperate, and George was coming into his own. Then bang. Na night. That's a four time champion for you. Hence my disgust at Groves throughout the build up to both fights. I mean, well in for hyping up an event, but show at least a modicum of respect for a boxing legend. I'd like to see Froch-Kessler III and Groves-DeGale II. Worth the £17 to see the better boxer drop a willing opponent with a sweet knockout punch. Still waiting for Groves' left hook finisher.... I know my boxing. Fury-Chisora II next. Tyson to win via knockout. Na night, BBS'ers.
Froch looked like the champion throughout for me. Groves did ironically do his best stuff late on, but what a sweet finish. Hopefully shown he's still the man to beat to some who were doubting him. Him and DeGale next? Hope so. I love a domestic tear up. Agree about Fury.
When the interviewer said "firstly George are you ok physically" I expected GG to come back with "for a Monday night I'm alright Barbara". What a punch. That would have snapped my neck. I thought GG was coming back into it as well. Shows what I know. Best £17 I've spent for a long time!
After the Lord Mayor's Show if you ask me. Be surprised if the Copper Box is even sold out to be honest.
DeGale looks a dangerous lad to me. Thought he beat Groves in their bout to be fair. Can't see Froch wanting to risk taking another hungry Brit on. It'll be Chavez Jr. Wish it was a third Kessler fight though..
Oh, don't get me wrong. I agree. Not in the same bracket. But Haye/Fury would have been had chicken **** not ducked out of it. Tyson will prove the doubters wrong. I know my ****. *I know nowt.
Yep true, but i cant see the DeGale fight and Froch happening. DeGale is playing catch up and its good to see he's finally got his head straight. Perhaps he needs a few Stateside fights. Also especially with Arthur Abraham looking for something and also Bika and kessler that may be a safer choice. Also the Smith Bro's may upstage his progress in terms of profile over the next 6 months here.
Just how do you think Haye could have fought with that sling on? I know you like Fury, but he is tailor made for the overhand right of Haye, even pillow fisted Cunningham knocked Tyson down with that punch !!
Doesn't he have to face DeGale within 120 days or give up the IBF? Sure that's what they said. He should take that fight and then set his sights on 2 more. Kessler and Ward. I personally hope he goes on for a few more years yet, just love watching him, not often a dull fight from him these days, thought he was a bit guilty of that in his early days. He's still at the top of his game.
