Just like first time I went there.

I love how the home end fills up in the 2nd half when they change ends, just like when we used to walk round from the Brewery to the Ponty.

Used to stand in Brewery and walk round to Spion Kop end behind goal. Away supporters must have had a smaller section unless there was no segregation.

Must say though, as much as standing was the norm back then I do prefer to sit down, but at the same time, seating has its problems.

Did you go to Brentford - still had standing there this season - felt like a proper game again. Chances to stand getting fewer and fewer though as you only have 3 seasons in the Championship before you have to put seats in. I still prefer to stand you get a better atmosphere for some reason and it takes me back to when thats how we watched football in the 70's and 80's

Not surprised that Blackpool lost. just checked the record of the game and they had Chris Hedworth at centre half. Anyone who saw him play the few games he did for us will understand that Blackpool probably got off lightly by only conceding four. Also of note - a very young whipper-snapper called Trevor Sinclair in his first full season for Blackpool. I thought that it was him. How different the game seems now. then it was all about using the wingmen to get in telling crosses to big front men (Blackpool had beanpole Bamber up top). The pitches were not as conducive to 'carpet' football and it shows in the style. A great watch though. Thanks.

I thought it was "tripod" but wasn't sure, it's so long since.

Recognised Dave Bamber though. He was another that seemed to like scoring against us for the club's he played for.

He equalised for Stoke in the Cooper backflip replay, after John MacDonald had put us in front.

I recall Hedworth being here but I can't remember watching him for us but definitely remember him turning up with Leicester on the opening day of the east stand, the gret lump scored twice, sithi.

Think that was Gary Coatsworth who came with Leicester?

It was Coatsworth. Another truly terrible player.

Aye, I think it was the winner in a 3-2 win, Andy rammall got our two, sithi.

Not quite 30 yards but a decent strike all the same, two belters from rammall, sithi.
