No doubt Red Rain will have a longer take on the proceedings but here's my twopenneth.

Barnsley were the better team in terms of football. They were. Unfortunately, because the team is composed of people likely to make errors and people not moving quickly enough in support we got hammered. The team is still doing ok bit certain issues need addressing.

Firstly, even with two wide men the team are not moving the ball up quickly enough. There was lots of possession but it too long for attacks to build and gave the opposition chance to get behind the ball.

Secondly, the service to the strikers is not accurate or quick enough (probably linked to my first point). We seem to lack someone of real drive in the middle of the park and someone who can spot a good run.

Thirdly, the strikers themselves are not clinical enough. Yes, Winnall took his goal well tonight and well done to him, but as a rule the strikers too do not move into position to receive quickly enough and often it's too lethargic.

I think a lot of these points are interrelated and it might sound like I'm contradicting myself with point 2 and 3 but I don't think so. As a whole the team is too slow to react basically and so in spite of all the possession we were undone. If things continue to deteriorate in terms of points I would expect the manager to change the formation in recognition of the fact that at this level, with the players we have it isn't good enough. We'll see though.
    5-2 did flatter Forest though!!
