    No big loss

wouldnt be first choice centre half and actually prefer it if we brought a more experienced player in and a natural left back.

It would be tragic if we missed out on Lewin.Just over 12 months ago Derby turned down a £1.5.million offer from Sunderland.I think he's a very good footballer who will get better and better. If he is available for £300.000 we should pull out all the stops to get him.

    You're mad

It would be a massive loss. The kid has a brilliant future ahead of him and I really hope it's with Barnsley.

I would be very disappointed if we lost out on him, especially to a newly promoted side.

    He's one for the future

but I dont think he's the world beater some seem to think. he made some very costly mistakes last season and I dont think he's as good as Foster or Souza yet. £300,000 for a squad player, might prove good business but if it means we cant afford a decent striker, I'd say no.

    RE: You're mad

just feel he's not as good as Foster or Souza, dont think he's a left back so might be better served spending the money elsewhere.

If spending £300k on a defender like Nyatanga means we can't afford a decent striker, then we're ******. 'Cos we need 2 decent strikers, a winger and a central midfielder before we're anywhere near strong enough.

Age on his side, Full international already....

a snip if thats the price were quoted, guarenteed to be sold on for more. He would be a great investment, Premiership bound. Buy for £300,000 sell for over a million a couple of years down the line. Excellent bit of business.

I expect its not about cant afford

more like we can get better value for money elsewhere.

I'd prefer he stayed but not at any cost. He has been a bloody liability at times.

He's young he'll iron out those mistakes but...

he didn't make half as many as Souza. With an old head at the back, Nyatanga would come on leaps and bounds.

    Couldnt disagree more

our best defensive performances of the season had Foster and Souza as the centre half pairing. how you can say he's rubbish after the Chelsea game, well, you must be sat staring away from the pitch or summat.

i think Souza has had a great season, disagree 100% with the comment he's rubbish.
Wether we sign Nyatanga or not it wouldn't bother me, I'm 50/50 about him.

Worst player ever to play for Barnsley - Darren Sheridan.
