Defence was very good again tonight and cannot complain
Steele - 9 - was brilliant again tonight, good on crosses gives the defence confidence and a world class double save on half time
Shotton - 9 - unpassable, best game hes had so far, tyson got by him once in first half and that was all, a rock
Moore - 7 - solid, lost a couple of headers to blackstock but did well
Foster - 6 - another decent performance from fozzy, missed a sitter header though, stood up well against a good strikeforce
Dickinson - 6 - did ok against anderson who is a good winger, had his moments though and his distribution is poor
Midfield were shocking, no co-ordination couldnt retain the ball for more than 2 passes all night, basically got overun, the difference tonight was paul mckenna, doesnt ever waste a pass is always in a position where he is needed and is an all round leader something we need in middle of park for christmas please santa
Colace - 5 - wasnt as bad as everyone here as said but cant do 4 mans work on his own
Hallfredsson - 4 - was arguably even poorer than donny, misplaced passes, wasted crosses and isnt a tackler
Anderson - 5 - ran into dead ends too often and wasn't clinical enough in possession
Hammill - 7 - our most positive player as usual, only had one thing on his mind when he had ball to get forward and shoot
Hume - 5 - excellent set pieces as norm, just needs more end product, found it tough against a big and quick back 4
Macken - 5 - just lost his sharpness last 2 games, again found it tough with the scraps him and hume had to work off, was unlucky t go off at half time though

Gray - 7 - was outnumbered 3 to 1 on every header and kelvin wilson tried to remove his shirt on every challenge (but when you have a ref like tonight i can only praise their defenders for exploiting the officials naivety if they arent blowing they may aswell pull all they want)
J.Gray - 5 - came on to no great effect but did no worse than the rest of midfiled in fairness
    Boggy - didnt touch ball

all in all a gutting drive home and we could have snatched a draw, on the luck we've had lately we probably were due a defeat, it was a spirited effort and i thought robbo got the changes right, we were outplayed in midfield and he had to go 4-5-1 and brought gray on to try and get the ball held up but with tneets ref wo never gunna happen anyway. They did look a very resilient side very big very quick and actually had some good passing spells but they have spent **** loads, robins will bounce us back on satday!!! great away support tonight by the way (Y)

We only want him to do the graft of one. Sadly he is as soft as a freshly laid turd and adds SFA to the team.

I left the game last night feeling totally gutted. I can't remember feeling so disappointed having lost a point.

But I agree with your point on Colace. There are plenty of posters on here who love him but I can't see it.

I just don't see what he gives us. He does not protect the back four, he doesn't put a foot in. He just doesn't do it for me. Sorry but it's only my opinion.

i just love how people look at who didnt play and put the problem down to them, doyle was shocking at donny against weak little players he wouldnt have helped last night, neither would jcr he would have been pushed off the ball, im not saying colace is a great player, simply he is the best defensive midfielder we have in the squad, when we sign a better one ill be happy to see him dropped

    disagree

colace verfy rarely puts a tackle in which does cost us goals, a fair few this season to be honest

    RE: disagree

yes but name a better defensive midfielder that we have? oneil thompson terrible at watford, doyle has no tactical nous and too often gets caught behind the play, iceman cnt tackle and is an attacking midfielder really, anderson maybe but robins sees him in a different role now and er thats about it, we need a new centre midfielder

Did he have to keep coming over to help Dickinson out like at Doncaster?
