    Clutching at straws

    Something we've been doing since the drubbing by Wigan on day one.

    Wish I had a fiver for every time we've dismissed defeats with quotes like "look on the bright side" or "never were going to get anything there" etc etc.

    It's inviting to go along with that notion until you look at the goals against tally.

    Yes, the result against Reading, and the less than catastrophic loss at QPR might signal a late improvement, and I sincerely hope it does, because I don't think that Flicker walking is necessarily the answer.

    But I'm not holding my breath.
