But did Mr Shepherd put any money in the club or was he appointed as a businessman capable of turning around the finances. Patricks finances ?

Probably £1 to buy the company that was in the red. Supposed to have, as Joe Richards once said 'wool on his back', but little evidence of that in the transfer market. Seems to be running the club like Accountants run Enterprise Inns!

I seem to remember that the buy out was Ridsdale and Mr Shepherd was installed in P.R. place to stop the funds draining away at a considerable rate. I could be wrong but I never saw any information as investment put in by G.S.

To quote a famous former owner

    We need some investors.

    I believe that..

Mr Shepherd has not actually invested any of his own money, his investment has been his time and expertise. The money the club survives in, in whatever form, came from BMBC and PC
