looking at that, you could see Forest climbing out of it... maybe Norwich too... oh dear :(

Ive spent way too much time looking at the remaining fixtures

and I go back to what I said previously, the missed penalty against Forest and ultimately our failure to win, will see us relegated. Forest have now the much easier run in, I actually expect them to win all 3 remaining games, and if Norwich get anything out of the East Anglian derby, their home game against Reading is very winnable and with Charlton to play on the last day, they have every chance of getting 7 points out of 9.

Bizarrely, I can see us winning at Plymouth and still going down. With the prospect of an 8 hour drive back to mull it over to start our long summer of preparation for pub football next season. Even Patrick will have a good 2 hours sat in his chopper to contemplate where it all went wrong.

We've f.u_ck'ed it up, simple as that.

Do you think Davey will stay?

If (or when, as I feel now) we go down?

I can see quite a few of our rivals playing teams that have given up the ghost. Norwich at Ipswich, Forest at home to Coventry, Southampton at Sheff W etc. Okay we have Coventry as well but we had watford there for the taking and didn't finish them off.

    If we stay up

it will be celebrated as equivalent of a promotion and the polls and booing will all be forgotten, trust me, nothing brings out the fickleness like a last minute repreive.

If we go down, I think the owner knows Davey is not the man to mount a challenge on immediate promotion and will know any chance we have of breaking even on the ticket sales will require a change in manager. So he'll be off to Florida with O Hanlon after having his contract paid up and by October we'll be reading the first posts of unrest on here against the new man.

    Wont matter

Norwich have Reading at home on the Monday after we've played Wolves, maybe knowing that a win puts them almost safe. And Charlton on the last day, who most probably will be playing a side based on players likely to be still at the club next year ie kids. Even if we win at Plymouth, goal difference might put us down.

Only as good as your last game

Forest have Coventry and Southampton to play at home. Can you honestly see them getting beaten in both? Maximum points more likely.
