    Foster (SW)
    Van Homoet/Hassell(RB)
    Moore(CB)
    Souza (CB)
    Kozluk (LB)

    De Silva (DM)
    Colace (DM)
Howard (CM --- AM) Getting forward to support JCR/Hume
JCR (Floating AM/In the hole) getting that little bit more to support Hume

    Hume (ST)

    Thoughts?

Like I said, if De Silva is fit that is.

There isn't an attacking player in that formation, above 5'7" so I guess everything would go up in the air.

    Yeah, you're right...

Let's swap Hume with Odejayi and all boo him.

    No.

    You didn't.

    Do you like my formation?

I'm pretty sure with the passing capabalities of De Silva, Colace and Howard we could cause some damage. With JCR and Hume zipping around up front, we could cause some more damage.

I should be the Barnsley manager.

Everything goes either up in the air

or is an aimless hoof on the ground anyway.

The players can't string more than two passes together & confidence is non-existent.

Something is seriously wrong; it won't matter what system we play until that is addressed.

surely you would have to go 5-3-2

    with a sweeper?

    1 Sweeper - Appleby
2 Centre backs - De Zeeuw / Davis
    2 Wing backs - Eaden / Thompson
    3 Central Midfielders - Bullock / Redfearn / Jovo
    2 Strikers - Hendrie / Wilkinson

    El Haimour and JCR?

    or hows about

    Muller

    Hassell, Foster, Souza, Kozluk

    De silva, Colace, Leon, Hume

    JCR & Macken

I still think JCR would do well as a striker with his pace, and comfidence to take players on a shoot. I'd even try Devaney or Howard up front for same reasons.
What I like about the above line up is that we have solid/proven back four, solid midfield i.e. mix of ability, something different up front with Macken as target man and JCR goalscorer.........

    could work!

    I'm sorry mate, but...

Jon Macken is far from being a targetman.

Darren Purse had him for breakfast on Tuesday - I don't think Macken won a header did he? And he didn't win many balls to his feet.

I also can't recollect him having a shot; which, for a striker is very, very poor.

Macken needs to start pulling his weight, because at the moment, he does not (in my opinion) justify a place in the team. He's a far cry from last season, when he was holding the ball up, bringing people into play, winning flick ons, scoring goals... etc.

I'm also not sure about De Silva on the wing...

Hume on the wing and JCR up front?

    And Anderson on the wing?

Come on lad you're making the manager's selections look decent with that :D

    RE: I'm sorry mate, but...

next game macken plays watch him! he tried everything on tuesday to make some space. the reason he looked in effective on tuesday was the fact oddjob kept going missing. macken was isolated with 2 CB's around him for 80% of the game and when he did get the ball oddjob was no where to be seen. Macken has shown get him the service and he will score goals but at the minute we are risking ruining him playing him so isolated as hes getting VERY frustrated.

He had to resort to coming to the halfway line to collect the ball on tuesday which is poor

    maybe that's the answer............

tying Macken and Oddjob together a la a 3 legged race - Oddjob wins the header knocks it down 6 inches to Macken who scores - magic!
