5-3-2 just doesn't work without 2 quality wing backs. Bree and especially Smith are good full backs only. 2 minutes after we change formation to 4-4-2, we score and looked alot more dangerous. First half was dire 3rd division football and we were lucky not to go in 2 - 0 down. Tyketcus hath spoken. Mr Johnson take heed.
I agree that the players we have don't suit a 3-5-2. We changed to 4-2-3-1 though, not 4-4-2. Watkins and Crowley played wide. We looked much better once we changed. Our defence is solid enough with 4 in, we don't need 5. We're short of strikers but have plenty of midfielders so 1 up front makes sense if we can get more of our talented attacking midfielders on.
