Ian Woan has left Manchester City as the Eastlands' clear out continues.

Woan, who made six appearances at Oakwell in 2000, joined City's coaching staff last month but has been told his services will not be needed next season.

Former Red Derek Fazackerley, who spent 12-months at Oakwell as Nigel Spackman's first team coach, could also leave City in the coming weeks.

one of the worst players ever to pull on a Reds shirt-one of Bassett's poorer pieces of judgement

I'd forgotten that Bassett was the Woan Arranger. Unforgivable - that and my appalling pun.

    "Woan, who made six appearances"

Says it all! Why do they tell us about these players...I'd forgotten we had him for a while.

    Billy Brindle ?

Signed on a free transfer from Everton around 1970 and played about 15/20 minutes once as a second half substitute ?
