Excellent.

Ferenczi looked a step sharper, Muller was very good, and Anderson showed flashes of real class.

Question mark over Kozluk still for me, but generally very promising today. Well done reds.

    Agreed

Werling looked better as well today, and like you say Johnson was class.

Agree about Kozluk, had a bit of a mare and all of their attacks seemed to have something to do with him.

    Kozluk Is Still.........

to have a good game, but because of his wages we will feel inclined to stick with him until he starts to pay off. Agree with what you think about the others. Souza has the ability to be someone we will sell on for a lot money down the line.

also thought christensen looked good, the little tap over his own head was class, but in the last few minutes when he took a shot he should have threaded it through to the right where ferenci? i think, was unmarked... but cant blame the guy for wanting a goal.

Thought Foster had a good game, looked a little nervous on the ball in the first half but thats to be expected on debut. I thought Souza and Odejayi were superb today, if Odejayi can start scoring goals to add to his pace and power then i wouldn't be suprised in him leaving for a few million quid in a couple of seasons. Still to be convinced about Kozluk, but its early days and I think we have the makings of a good side coming together.

i think the good thing about kayode is that he runs at defenders and often sucks two or 3 towards him, leaving pscae for others, so even if he doesnt get as many goals as we want, i think the effect is far wider than simple a number next to his name.

Granted, Kayo does attract defenders to him, but goals win games and more importantly for him, if he's not scoring then we have strikers waiting in the wings to take his place now. I personally think he will score goals at Championship level.

    All 4 were excellent

Souza is dominant in the air and reads the games superbly, Foster looks an accomplished player, Johnson had his best game so far and has a real presence in midfield (was up and down for 90 today too). But Odejayi is the best of the lot, getting more impressed with him every time I see him, he seems to have a bit of everything. Just needs a goal to get some confidence.

I Think odejayi will be 10 times the player of nardiello, And he doesnt need to score loads as he create a hell of alot of chances for other strikers and he must scare the opposite defense with his pace and strenth defence looked brilliant in first half all of them were solid

    Wasn't convinced with Johnson

Especially in the first half. Can't fault the commitment or the workrate. I don't doubt he gave his all and I thought his tireless endeavour helped lift the whole team when Plymouth clawed it back to 3-2. However, in terms of actual quality and effectiveness I didn't think he added that much. A better passer than Togwell and a more natural leader than Reid or Howard. He just looked a bit slow and clumsy at times.

I think Togwell is a bit hard done by to lose his place in the side to Johnson as he was a consistent if no-frills performer last term. But maybe it was Johnson's doggedness not to let heads drop when the chips were down that was critical in claiming the points today. However, given he simply hasn't got pace, his tackling and ball control need a bit of work if he is to be the complete package as a central midfielder.

As has been said a thousand times this week, I guess it is just nice to have at least 2 realistic options for every position on the park. Everyone will have to work at their game to be in contention for a shirt of a Saturday.

    I agree

Johnson charges around the pitch but he's side ways and back most of the time. This was his best performance for us by far, but if I was Togwell I'd be feeling very hard done by.

Ps only Howard is not a Davey man in todays team.

    great performance today but

thought Kozluc had a good gme, some excellent passing, to me he looked a good buy for this level of play, good at coming forward, Souza had a great game but contributed to their first goal, i think once the players get to know each others strenghts and weaknesses we have the makings of the best team we have seen for a while down at the Well :)
