This is the man we should have signed before the start of last season.
He is immense, brings a calm influence to the back line and no-one gets the better of him.
If we had last year, we would not have leaked so many goals, even with Reid in the team along side him.

Best player we have signed in quite a few years.

How can Paul Reid ever get back into the team?

His committment is without question but how can any of them dislodge this back 4?
If Werling is only on loan , then they'd better get him signed up too.

We can buy Werling in January,

Still think he is a better player further forward tho`, great crosser of the ball.

Reid, if he ever gets another game then it will because he has got some dodgy pics of Davey and shepherds missus :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

    Not going to is he?

Is it any coincidence the back 4 look solid without Reid and Colgan behind them?
Not that I like slagging folk off but Reid is never a CB.
Muller coming out claiming crosses ( and laying out their forwards) has got to give the back 4 confidence. Not like nailed to the line Colgan.

RE: Not going to is he?

Muller doesnt come out and claim all the crosses! Just the ones that he knows he can get to, the others he leaves for the centre halves to deal with, this year we have a defence that can cope with high balls into the box, still seem a bit shaky with low crosses tho.

How tall is he 6 foot 6? How many tall keepers anywhere in world football can deal with low crosses?

I meant as a whole, niot just the keeper
sorry but you could say that because Colgan is not 6ft 6 , how can he be expected to come for crosses., same thing if thats how you see it. (dunno) (dunno) (dunno)

    You're right compadre

All the back 5 as a unit. My 5 pennorth worth is at least now the back 4 know they have a goalie behind them who is not just a shot stopper.

I like the way Muller makes every save look spectacular, make me smile and I am seriouly thinking he is not a full shilling ,as my gran would have said.
He is definitely on the crazier end of the sanity spectrum

Did you see him do that knee slide when we scored our (I think) 2nd goal?
    Obviously an eccentric!

The guy is born to defend.

He didn't do anything that stood out just stopped everything coming down there left (unlucky McIndoe!). I think he's be the best signing we've made although Souza, Muller, Anderson and Werling run him close.
