Fowler to sign for Cardiff on £25,000 a week plus free house

Former Liverpool striker ROBBIE FOWLER will join Cardiff on a free after being offered a mega-bucks deal by the Welsh side.</p>

The Anfield legend, 32, has decided to drop down to the Championship for a two-year contract worth &pound;25,000 a week.</p>

He will also get a luxury house for himself, wife Kerry and their four children.</p>

his team mates look at what he's done in his career and then compare to themselves, they will see why he's on so much more money than them.

When Ridsdale previously acquired Fowler..

He paid £11m for him

24 appearances @ £458k each
14 goals @ 785k each

Not including abart 40k a week leeds paid him for 15 months and at least half of it they paid while he rode out the rest of his 3? year contract at Man City making another £4.5m or so.

So £1.1m per goal last time out so I suppose if he gets 3 goals during this contract PR will reckon he got a bargain.

 

That's over half the Chopra money gone

Waste of money in my opinion - Fowlers not done anything for years - there must be some up and coming younger strikers to do a better job</p>

 

Big gamble, but even a decrepid, can't be bothered any more, in it for the money Robbie Fowler is still twice the striker most in this division can even dream of being. If he gets the service, he'll get a sackful. If he remains fit.
