Why are teams busting their guts to buy players that have conceded 41 league goals? Are they good as individuals but can't defend as a unit or am I too old to know anything. If I was told that we were going to pay a few million for a teenage defender with a history of missing games through injury I would think the inmates were running the asylum. Because they're young, comfortable on the ball and our academy has a great reputation. That said i don't for a second believe that Marc Roberts is attracting premier league interest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
To look at it another way... Cardiff - 3 Forest - 5 Fulham - 4 Ipswich - 4 That's 16 goals conceded in just 4 games. So if you take those out of the equation you end up with Played 23 Against 25 Which for a defensive back four that hadn't played anywhere near ther Championship level and were bought for peanuts is an amazing return.
Reputation After Stones, Holgate and Mawson we now have a reputation for producing top-class defenders. That and the fact that these people are totally stupid and have more cash than they know what to do with.
Probably because scouts can see that we play an attack minded system & they can see that we have got a talented back 4 it's just they're offered much less protection than some other teams who pack the midfield & don't have attack minded wingers like Watkins & Kent which is why we tend to concede more goals
