    Well he does have the small matter of being the 'new' Botham to live up to.

    Was surprised to hear last night (news/ highlights?) that both teams were, at 10pm, still at the ground sharing a few beers with each other. Wonderful series, sport at its best.

    No doubt Flintoff has been the man of the series, but Ashley Giles contribution has been important. Villified by sections of the press earlier in the summer, his bowling, fielding and batting have been excellent. wonder if we'll have to wait another 20 or so years for another series as good?

    They were both wasted weren't they. Crowd chanting "you're pissed and you know you are" during Flintoff's speech - classic.
