    After the free signing of Lewin Nyatanga, was quite surprised to see how many decent free transfers are still out there who could be good signings for a team at this level;

    Chris Baird,
    Rory Delap,
    Simon Church,
    David Jones,
    Nicky Shorey,
    Ross Turnbull,
    Nicky Bailey,
    Simeon Jackson,
    Lee Camp,
    Danny Haynes,
    Richard Wood,
    Matthew Bates,
    Sylvan Ebanks-Blake,
    Stephen Hunt,
    Christophe Berra,
    Kevin Davies,
    Keith Fahey,
    Gary Taylor Fletcher,
    Danny Butterfield,
    Heidar Helguson.

Wouldn't mind seeing us go for Danny Haynes, Simeon Jackson, Simon Church & Rory Delap!

I'd like to get delap back, impressed me massively in the few games he played, very versatile, strong, experienced.. Long throw..

I liked Delap, he was better than I expected him to be.

Vast experience and could still do a job at this level.

I do like the shape of our defence at the min though

Chris Baird, Simeon Jackson and Gary Taylor Fletcher, if we signed those 3 we'd be play off contenders for sure, won't happen though.

Wouldn't be all that surprised to see Delap sign at some point and I agree to no end I was very impressed with his contributions. Rory will always give you something other players can't give with that unreal throw of his, it's practically a goal scoring opportunity from every throw in, caused no end of problems at Middlesborough away.

Yeah, a lot better than expected.

He wasn't as slow as I expected, I've always heard that as a criticism of him, but he wasn't bad.

I'll always love a loan player (or any player for that matter) that offers to take an injection to play and help the team. The commitment that shows is crazy

Taylor-Fletcher, Ebanks-Blake or Jackson could be good. Taylor-Fletcher has worried me every time we've played against him

Pretty sure I read somewhere Delap was training with Burton Albion.

I think we should sign Keith Fahey. Simply for the fact I'd love to see the headline, "Fahey secures win for Barnsley"

He was linked with West Ham but turned out it was poor journalism, he had been taking his coaching badges at West Ham's training ground.
