I could do with a freebie from Lincoln to Oakwell on Saturday.
I didn't go on a free bus on Sunday so the club owes me one. I drove there and back on my own, 240 miles.
Come on Ben, I'll give you my bank details for a sneaky Bacs payment. Ta.

I feel a sponsored walk is in order.

That was a long round trip you made then. Did you go via Middlesbrough something :)

It's 120 mile from where I live. Those who only started their journeys in Barnsley don't know how lucky there were. Already half way there.
I set off at half past three that morning, only just made it. I'm still on my way back now, as it happens.

You'll probably not make it home and back out again before Saturday then - best turn round and head straight to Oakwell.

You'll have a head start when we play at Norwich next season ( swings and roundabouts )

My apologies - best to engage brain before typing :)
For some reason I had it in my head that you were travelling to Barnsley but of course you were going to Wigan.

I know all about travelling. Most of my adult life has been three or four hundred mile round trips just for home games, like all the other southern-based Reds. I now only have a 50 mile trip from Harrogate - about the same as you do from Lincoln.

I travelled from Kirkham and was home by 3:15. Do I owe the Club money for travelling less than I would to a home match?

Oh no you don't !!! Last time I fell for that one was giving those minor details to Mr M'Boko M'Bongo from Nigeria. He had millions set aside for me.
And I didn't get any free travel from him either. Was taken for a different sort of ride.
