    and not very good.

    I had pro version and laptop ended up littered with virus' and reformat wouldn't solve. I ended up having to rebuild the boot sector through command line

    Whats wrong with microsoft security essentials which is aslo free? IT techies I know recommend it.

    I'd beg to differ.

    I've used AVG for the past 6 years and never had a problem with it.

    like the first line says "maybe of use to some members"

    obviously of no use to you. fair enough

    But as AVG has been crap for me, I wouldn't use it or recommend it.
