on a Tuesday night. Surely they would have got more attendance the next game Vs Walsall . on a Saturday.
well think about it kids for a start... not a school night on the Saturday. better for travelling too.
Exactly. Six home games into 2015, we get our first ticket offer of the year and it's a midweek game I can't go to, involving a season ticket holder I don't know. Why not just have a cheaper game for everyone? If they had a brain they'd be dangerous.
Whore for a score versus Walsall Bring your favourite prostitute to this League 1 mid-table borefest for only £20 (plus VAT).
Nun for a ton offer Bring Sister Wendy Beckett with you to the Tykes remaining League One games this season for only £100 (plus VAT).
Toni for a pony offer Bring ex German goalkeeper and near murderer of Patrick Battiston, Toni Schumacher for the Tykes crucial upcoming relegation dogfight for only £25 (plus VAT).
Re: Whore for a score versus Walsall Bring her in from the cold and use the exec suite bogs for an extra £12.
Obviously expecting a lower crowd Tuesday night so trying to get people in as opposed to doing the offer on the Saturday match. Not that hard to work out really.
A cheaper game for everyone would have been the best idea. Failing that a buy one get one half price offer.
Makes sense having it for the Coventry match not the Walsall match because that match is going to be a six pointer and the thinking behind it will be to get more fans to turn up midweek who only usually stick to saturdays.
Badly thought out (as per usual in my opinion) ok bring a friend.....'cos he/she will sit next to you yeah? Just make it footy for a fiver for all (on a saturday) locate the away fan(s) in the north side of west stand lower and fill the place
Whether it works or not, it helps those fans who can't justify a season ticket afford to get to some games. When it's done correctly.
I'm with you, pontyender. As a supporter who can't get to midweek games, it's no good for me. Would have preferred it for a Saturday game. But hey ho.
All home tickets now only £5 until the end of the season* not including turnstyle operator fee, floodlight surcharge, seating tariff and VAT
Depends how far you lower them . . . 15% off vs Colchester on a Friday night in November won't attract many more. We've not had a £5-10 league game for eons. Though tbh while ever we're awful on the pitch (which has been a long, long time) it won't matter what we charge, we'll not get above 8-9000.
