Apparently this guy is quite a reliable poster http://www.thefootballnetwork.net/boards/read/s277.htm?447,7134245 cherry picked Posted by: whitemight (IP Logged) Date: 08 May, 2007 01:32AM from another site Leeds fans maybe intrested in this email i received: it was posted by someone who has connections in the club (friends) but wouldnt reveal who they were and what they did: I was talking to my mate who is involved in the club who i speak to at most of the games before hand (im not revealing who he is or what he does at Leeds United - it wouldnt be right of me) and he told me it all kicked off on Wednesday morning. As you may or may not know, ex Leeds United coach Alan Sutton held a charity raising night at the exhibiton centre over the road from Elland Road to celebrate Gary's 16 years at the club (it was fantastic well worth the 50 notes ). In the morning at Thorp Arch Dennis Wise called an emergency meeting with all the staff and the players who were due to attend the "doo" that Wednesday. He stood Gary Kelly at the front of the room and demanded to know why all of his players were going to Gary's night, also labelling him a "parasite" sponging £28,000 a week off the club, and blaming Kells for the position we are in now financially - testiment to Gary he simply laughed it off and walked out of the room - the right attitude to take. He said that the reason Kells was not playing was because he refused to take a pay cut when Mr Bates called him over to Monacco in November 2006 and refused to take the bonus clause out of his contract. Well the **** hit the fan big time! David Healy was furious with Wise, disgusted by his actions to try and be-little Kells on the eve of his celebrations, he also told Dennis he was the captain and he would make sure every single player attended the night (which they all did to be fair apart from Shaun Derry?? - strange) this being the reason Healy was dropped yesterday. Also Richard Cresswell had been a victim earlier in the week for his shirt antics in the Ipswich game. If you dont remember Cress had on his shirt KELLY 2 LEGEND, this didnt settle well with Wise, and he told him if Tom Elliot was fully fit he would not play another game for Leeds United. When i was speaking to my mate yesterday who travelled down with the team Saturday, he said the atmosphere in the camp was silent, many of the players refusing to interact with Dennis and instead communicating with Gus. All this **** needs sorting otherwise we are up **** creek next season!! also forgot to mention, Wise had the players out on the pitch after the game yesterday telling the players who will be staying and who will not be staying - i know this because Ian Moore rang Adam Pope and Eddie Gray on BBC Radio Leeds to tell them the situation that he was not chosen to stay and he thanked all the Leeds fans for their support during his time at the club! Make of it what you like It gets better. He then has a go at Nicholls. However, the story goes as follows : Nicholls approached Wise as his family hadn't settled up here and kids not happy at school. He asked Wise if he could leave at the end of the season. Wise promptly tries to sell him to QPR. Someone at QPR contacted coach at Luton and hence Wise gets the famous call from Mike Newell and Wise hits the roof and goes to the press sasying Nicholls has contacted Luton. This fits with Nicholls saying he will tell his side of the story when his financial settlement is agreed. On the back of this the majority of playing staff have a lot of sympathy for Nicholls. Now the best one - Douglas pipes up with 'that's not the only reason we have gone down - perhaps if you turned up for training before 11.30 rather than running training around dropping your kids at school then perhaps we'd have done better'. Wise effectively offers him out. You couldn't f***ing make it up!!
To Be Fair Chefy........ Wise does have a point about Gary Kelly. If he loves Leeds as much as he says, he would have taken a paycut. I mean it's not like the multi millionaire that would have been nothing without Leeds needs the money anyway.
All professional contracts have a injury clause in them that they get a percentage of their salary after X months injured. If they havent serves the club right.
very interesting. Knowing Wise it sounds believable. Say what you like but Warnock clearly has good man management skills.
Not sure how much of that I believe The "reliable poster" is only passing on something he was emailed that came from another site.
