Having read some of the posts on this site about worrying about trouble next saturday I'd like to add a few words if I may. Firstly have no fear about taking young ones as there will literally be thousands from swansea there as well. I don't know where this reputation came from that swansea fans will duff up people because their from yorkshire but believe me I can't see it happening. Yes we have some complete nutters but hopefully the occasion will get to them and they'll behave themselves in the right manner befitting a play off final. I'm sure those of you travelling down to Card**f will enjoy the city as it is a nice shopping centre and plenty of pubs only minutes away from the ground. Having been to the millenium stadium for every international football match I assure you it is a fine stadium and there isn't one better than it in the whole of the UK. So have a nice journey down and enjoy yourselves on the day until the final whistle when obviously I hope I'll be celebrating and not your good selves. Good luck next season but not this one. By the way I'd also like to add that the natives of card**f will probably make you very welcome for obvious reasons and I for one hope the day can pass without any horror stories from either side. Cheers diolch, nos da. Up the Jacks. There are also some great pubs around the city not nesaserily right in the region of the ground if you look like down cathedral road and by the uni the other side of town enjoy Wales.
Great day..... I'd like to meet the Ipswich fan I charged at to shake his hand pissed as a newt from about 20 yards.
It all went in slow motion and I think he thought i was going to jump on him until at the last minute Nutkins grabbed his hand and shook it like a recently spunked penis.
Oh we laughed

RE: Great day..... It was a great day indeed. A long lost mate (Ipswich Fan) has recently contacted me to wish us well. He wasn't aware of all the good luck messages sent to us from ITFC but said he was amazed by the camarderie that day. They are still talking about it in Ipswich, now we have qualified. Let's hope for a similar sporting attitude amongst the fans but a different outcome. UTR!
Thats good to hear.... I've posted a message or two on the Swansea board about the aforementioned game and how I and we hope for a similar occasion without bother.
We'll have to wait and see. Problem is the mix with Cardiff as well.

It was amazing with the Ipswich fans To a man they were all decent friendly people, dont think i will ever forget how friendly everyone was that day.
We were playing footie with the Ipswich fans going up Wembley way........ loads of coming together just to shake hands and wish each other luck, it's funny I always look for Ipswich's result, because of that wonderful day.
Spot on It was a fantastic day, and ever since I've always wanted Ipswich to do well...
They have great fans

RE: cardiff fans in the mix As you might or might not know we played there several weeks ago in the ldv/football league trophy and a lot of swans fans were worrying about possible trouble from card**f fans and it never materialised and we were safe to roam around the centre of town without incident. there were a few messages left for us on the way in and out of town on bridges but hey if thats the worst they can do carry on its nice to know their thinking of us. Obviously you lot had good memories of the ipswich tie and who knows it might be the same after next saturday with us Welsh. How do people rate your chances next week? I must admit when we had your front two I though Richards worked hard but wasn't an out and out goal scorer but did get a few very important goals for us whereas Nardiello I thought with all the hype before he got to us was going to be prem class II must admit to being very dissapointed with him in his work rate and his finishing, has he improved recently because as we know a few years in football is a long time. Diolch
RE: cardiff fans in the mix You are spot on about Richards, works hard but isnt a goalscorer. Scores important goals tho...
Im pleased to be playing Swansea rather than Brentford. If we create the space to allow us to play football i think we will win, only worry is if you might muscle us out of it. You comments about Richards and Nads are about right.however i wouldnt like to think our hopes rested on having Rory Fallon up front. Heres to a good day out.
the thing is we have a history with cardiff The got sorted out big style when we played them a couple of seasons ago. I am sure they will want a pop back, but likewise I am sure they will know who to look for and the proper fans like us will be OK
RE: the thing is we have a history with cardiff Thing I like about Barnsley fans is they stick together as a rule. Star ton one Tarn fan start on them all.
RE: Im pleased to be playing Swansea rather than Brentford. Fallon is very much like Richard he works extremely hard for the forward line and has created some great chances for knight and Trundle even if his own finishing has been, shall we say questionable. however lately he has got on the scoresheet and got some vital goals and his confidence seems sky high at the moment and I'd think most fans are glad were not relying on him as our main scorer and we feel extremely greatful to have Trundle (who isn't scoring much at the moment) and Knight who has been on fire the last few weeks with 6 goals in his last 3 games. Do you not think your players would be up to a physical battle? We thought that against the Bee's but in the away leg we kicked them as much as they tried to kick us and we're by far the stronger of the two sides because I think we had more quality in creating chances for the front players. Here's hoping for a good open game of attacking football with little hoof ball going on however I have my doubts about the playing surface as it's never been up to much for most of the internationals I've seen there as it doesn't get much sunlight so they keep the roof open and it gets a bit like a bog then and is prone to cutting up quite badly, whilst the stadium is quality the most important part of it has always caused them problems in wet Wales.
I think we have been down this road before, In the ground it was the people in the Barnsley end who started the trouble towards the end of the game.
Any trouble elsewhere in Cardiff I can't comment on as I wasn't there.
