    Burns eyes World Cup
JACOB Burns is hoping to move away from Barnsley to bolster his chances of playing in the World Cup.

The ambitious Australian was having a trial with Polish champions Wisla Krakow this week.
He is expected back at Oakwell tomorrow in time to play against Colchester United on Saturday but is eager to secure a transfer.
Burns has been told that to gain a place in the Australian World Cup squad he needs to be playing regularly at a higher level than League One with Barnsley.
A move to the top league in Poland will strengthen his chances.
Barnsley boss Andy Ritchie will not stand in his way. "It would be out of order to do that, this might be his one and only chance," he confirmed.
Krakow are managed by former Sheffield Wednesday player Dan Petrescu.
Burns has been virtually ever-present this season for Barnsley, weighing in with five goals from midfield.
He signed on at Oakwell in October 2003, after a spell with Leeds and has made a total of 102 first-team appearances.
Meanwhile Barnsley look set to off Sheffield United youngster Kyle Nix terms until the end of the season.
"It would be like an extended trial really," Ritchie explained. "But I don't know if that's enough for Kyle. He has other clubs interested in him."
Nix has played a couple of reserve games for Barnsley and scored in Tuesday's 3-1 win at Sheffield Wednesday Reserves.
He was due to have talks with Ritchie today.
WalsallL have appointed Kevan Broadhurst as their new manager until the end of the season.
Broadhurst, who Saddlers chairman Jeff Bonser hopes will go on to sign an extended contract at the Bescot, replaces sacked player-manager Paul Merson.
The 46-year-old had an eight-year career as a defender at Birmingham and enjoyed a loan spell at Walsall in 1979.
His coaching career started at St Andrews before he became assistant and then manager at Northampton, while he can also boast a spell as first-team coach at Oxford and assistant manager at Bristol Rovers.
He said: "My initial task is to guide the club to League One safety and supporters can be assured I'll be totally focused to achieve that."
