Reds in for Tidman Barnsley manager Andy Ritchie is hopeful he can secure the services of former Owls goalkeeper Ola Tidman. The Swede is currently on trial at Oakwell but was prevented from playing at Halifax by his current club who wanted payment before he would play. Unfortunately the Reds were given no warning and could have insured the player for the game. Ritchie has spoken with chairman Gordon Shepherd and is hopeful he can secure the funds to sign the 27-year-old on a loan deal
There not daft, PAY UP FRONT before you see him play..... I hope we dont fall for that one after whats been said about the guy. I dont subscribe to knocking any player before we see him, BUT payfirst ?? I dont think so
Oh no.....Please say thhat this is a wind up! Oh no, he really is dreadful. I am sorry but we are scraping the barrel with him. I am trying to see some kind of positive here but really can't. Surely to god we are not going to sign him. Mr Owl used to come home from Hillsborough laughing because Tidman was so bad. He was laughed out of Swillsboro! Please tell me this is not true, it must be a joke!
I don't think that's accurate AR stated that current his club wanted a guaranteed compensation payment should he have got injured whilst playing for the reds. Had we been aware of that in advance, we could have taken out some insurance to cover ourselves against this. That's the reason he didn't play. His current club didn't want any money as such. HTH, Stephen
