Reds unsure over future of certain player's contracts Barnsley say they've not had responses from either Chris Shuker or defender Neil Austin, to confirm if they'll be signing new contracts to remain at Oakwell. The four week deadline for players to accept the deals offered to them passed at the end of last week, and until now only captain Paul Reid has agreed a new deal. Anthony Kay and Nick Colgan will hold further talks later this week and the club say Bobby Hassell is expected to re-sign within the next few days.
