From BBC regarding Arsenal in the transfer market

    What they need?
    Goalkeeper cover if Jens Lehmann decides to move on and a centre-back to fill in for Africa Cup of Nations-bound Kolo Toure.

    Possible activity
    Manager Arsene Wenger will lose Toure and Emmanuel Eboue to the African Cup of Nations in January and despite recalling Johann Djourou from loan at Birmingham, he may need to strengthen in central defence.

    Thomas Sorensen or Barnsley's Heinz Muller have been tipped to come in as a back-up keeper should Lehmann move back to Germany. Lassana Diarra and Gilberto Silva have voiced their concern about a lack of games and may also look to leave.

    Who have they been linked with?
    Micah Richards, Sorensen, Tresor Mputu, Artur Boruc, Muller.
