Chris Burke rescued a point for an out-of-sorts Blues with an 86th minute equaliser against an impressive Barnsley side at St. Andrew's this afternoon.

A splendid long-distance strike from Jacob Butterfield looked to have settled the contest.

In truth it would have been a deserved victory for the South Yorkshire outfit who created more opportunities and looked the more dangerous for most of the game.

Barnsley's Luke Steele was barely called into action and his opposite number Boaz Myhill was certainly the busier of the two keepers.

We need to start winning these games. Normally I'd be delighted with a point at Birmingham so why do I feel slightly disappointed. I'm still very positive that we will be ok but we do have to start converting possession and chances into goals. You reds.

Fantastic performance it actually felt like a defeat. If we keep playing with such swagger and confidence and get the injured players back we'll be more than fine.
