    Bury FC Can confirm that Dwayne Mattis has today signed for Barnsley FC.</p>

    <span />Club director Ian Harrop confirmed to <font color="#000066">www.buryfc.co.uk</font> that the club had offered the player an extension to his current contract, a contract which ran out at the end of this season.</p>

    The player would not commit himself to the club so we had no alternative but to secure the best deal for the player and the club as he would have left at the end of the season for nothing.</p>

    A fee of &pound;50,000 has been secured, plus &pound;25,000 when Barnsley secure their championship status, also a 20% sell on clause has also been negotiated.</p>

    Dwayne Mattis joined the Shakers in June 2004 on a free transfer from Huddersfield Town.During his stay at Gigg Lane, Dwayne played 109 games in all competitions and scored 17 goals.</p>

    We would like to take this opportunity to thank Dwayne for his services to the club and wish him every success in his future playing career.</p>

    Maybe so, he he... I just believe

    that as part of the "cost savings" etc that the club have done over the last couple of years, he may be in a position where he is doing 3 or 4 times more than a similar position at another club.

    I know he is behind on a fw things on the website, but we all don't knwo the full facts as to why he can never get things updated...


    But then again, he may just be a lazy ****

    just trawled through relevant match reports-five bookings mentioned although

    didn't we have a cockup with Carbon-we thought it was one figure and the league said different

    however it could be

    that he's banned for the Preston game-I thought he'd missed the New Years Day game but they didn't play! so he maybe isn't available for Saturday as it's the next game 7 days after picking up the 5th booking-that's if the figures are correct?
