Egyptian striker Ahmed ‘Mido’ Hossam will undergo medical tests with English Championship side Barnsley FC Monday. The 29-year-old former Tottenham and Middleborough forward accepted Barnsley's offer and is expected to sign a one-year contract after passing a medical in South Yorkshire. The striker was released from his boyhood club Zamalek this summer after clashing with chairman Mamdouh Abbas over his unpaid benefits due to the financial crisis facing Egyptian clubs.
