THE League Managers Association five-man Performance of the Week panel, comprising Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry, were in agreement that this week, the F&C Investments Performance of the Week Award should go to Barnsley following their shock 1-0 win over Chelsea in the FA Cup 6th Round on Saturday 8th March 2008.

Manager Simon Davey will receive a specially engraved crystal football in a presentation to be screened on Sky Soccer Saturday on 15th March 2008.

Kayode Odejayi's second-half header, in the 66th minute, dumped holders Chelsea out of the FA Cup and gave Championship side Barnsley a shock place in the semi-finals.

The striker netted the winner from six yards out after connecting with Martin Devaney's superb right-wing cross.

Odejayi also had a shot saved by Carlo Cudicini, while team-mate Istvan Ferenczi's half-volley hit a post.

Chelsea's best chance fell to Joe Cole early in the second half. He struck his angled shot wide from close range.

The last time Barnsley reached this stage of the competition was in 1912 and they went on to win their one and only FA Cup that season.

Barnsley boss Simon Davey could not contain his delight after his side stunned booked their place in the FA Cup semi-finals.

"I can't believe it. We beat Liverpool and they thought we couldn't do it again.

"But I thought we could and the players were fantastic again. Kayode came out tops again; I'm so pleased for him."
