I thought we had an FA Cup quarter final tie against Tottenham at Oakwell in 1999. SUPPORTERS ADVISED TO ARRIVE EARLY AS THE WORLD WATCHES OAKWELL!!! Posted on: Sat 08 Mar 2008 THE eyes of the world will be on Barnsley FC tonight as the Reds go head to head with Chelsea in the biggest Cup match at Oakwell in 23-years. Simon Davey's side line up against the multi-millionaires from Stamford Bridge in a FA Cup Sixth Round clash that has caught the imagination of the whole country. The last time Barnsley played a FA Cup Quarter Final at Oakwell was back in 1985 when Liverpool were the visitors. Barnsley Football Club are urging all supporters to allow plenty of time to get to Oakwell for the massive FA Cup clash with Chelsea. Today's game kicks off at 5.30pm and, with a crowd expected in excess of 22,000, supporters are strongly urged to arrive early. Supporters are advised to be in their seats 30 minutes prior to kick off.
