YEOVIL CALL FOR CLAMPDOWN ON 'INTERNET HOODIES' FORMER Chelsea star Dave Webb has become the first high-profile casualty of a war of words waged against football clubs the length and breadth of the country on internet message boards. Webb quit his role as Chief Executive at League One side Yeovil Town last month blaming personal abuse and innuendoes from so-called Glovers' supporters. Webb's replacement, John Fry, was in no doubt about where to point the finger of blame and was quick to highlight a growing problem within football today. Fry said: "They are internet hoodies who hide away under anonymous names. If they can't put their names up they can't expect us to be transparent with them. We are constantly upset by comments on these forums and all we are asking is for transparency, just as we have tried to give at the club. Give your real name and if your complaints are valid we will not only talk to you about them but also try to remedy your complaint. "You build up enemies over the years for whatever reason and now they can come back at you under a false name with comments that can be particularly damaging, particularly to your families. Something needs to be done". My opinion: Why do people have to be nasty? Like it says if you have something to say at least use your real name or better still say it to the person you are talking about instead of posting things that may or may not be true.
Why is this on our main site ? Are the club trying to make a point ??If they've got something to say, thay should just come out and say itbl**dy internet hoodies
its half the fun tho laura a harmless wind up here and there. shame when certain people on here make stuff up to harm the club tho like that poster who talked cack about the box office
