<h3 class="headline">REDS GET SOUZA!!! </h3><div id="lastEditDate" class="lastEditDate">Posted on:Wed 01 Aug 2007</div> BARNSLEY FC manager Simon Davey has today completed his ninth capture of the summer by signing up impressive Brazilian defender Dennis Souza.</p> The 26-year-old has been at Oakwell on trial and has impressed against Buxton, Rotherham and Wigan Athletic. Dennis has put pen-to-paper on a two-year contract this afternoon after agreeing a move to the Coca Cola Championship.</p> Born in Brazil, Dennis started his career with Matsubara in his homeland before joining Dutch side Roda JC in 2000. He made 16 appearances for Charleroi last term, netting two goals.</p> The deal is subject to international clearance and registration with the Football League.</p> Reds manager Simon Davey told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk: "After watching him in Belgium we invited him over to join us for pre-season and he has impressed us all in his short time with us. We are delighted that we have been able to complete the deal and look forward to working with him for the next two seasons".</p>
