BARNSLEY FC manager Simon Davey has today completed his ninth capture of the summer by signing up impressive Brazilian defender Dennis Souza.</p>

The 26-year-old has been at Oakwell on trial and has impressed against Buxton, Rotherham and Wigan Athletic. Dennis has put pen-to-paper on a two-year contract this afternoon after agreeing a move to the Coca Cola Championship.</p>

Born in Brazil, Dennis started his career with Matsubara in his homeland before joining Dutch side Roda JC in 2000. Dennis again went out on loan during the 2004/2005 campaign when he joined up with Mons before making the switch to Charleroi last season. He made 16 appearances for Charleroi last term, netting two goals.</p>

The deal is subject to international clearance and registration with the Football League.</p>
