Among the first to be offered new deals will be 17-year-old left-back Luke Potter who made his debut in Sunday's 7-0 slump at West Brom. Midfielder Simon Heslop, aged 20, also made his first appearance in a league match at West Brom on the last day of the season, replacing Sam Togwell in the second half. Rob Atkinson made his eighth first-team appearance, at centre-back alongside Bobby Hassell. Brian Howard, Antony Kay, Neil Austin, Nick Colgan and striker Daniel Nardiello are squad members who are out of contract this summer. Davey also has to decide whether to turn Hungarian striker Peter Rajczi's loan deal into a permanent move. An <div id="ds-mpu"></div>undisclosed fee between Barnsley and Ujpest Dozsa has already been agreed for Rajczi. Kyel Reid, the winger on loan from West Ham, is expected to return to the London club. Barnsley have confirmed they will play pre-season friendlies at Rotherham United and Bury. The game at Millmoor is on July 28 and Davey will take a team to Gigg Lane on August 4. Davey, who is finalising his pre-season plans this week, will look to play a friendly at Oakwell before the 2007-8 campaign kicks off on August 11. </div>
May God have Mercy on Us Giving Davey money to spend is utter madness, or will GS suprise us and give him limited funds which means bargain basement again. After the Baggies game on Sunday and the "fantastic motivation" of the players i guarentee Davey will be out of a job by the 15 th game of next season. If we had true "proffesionals at the club" management and players, they would not have disrespected the fans and the town on Sunday.
Exactly! If I were to make a bold guess... i'd stick my neck on the line and say he'll still be here this time next year.
