It's not rocket science to see where." So far this summer Davey has brought in three defenders, a midfield player and two strikers. Barnsley still need another goalkeeper. Lillestrom No 1 Heinz Muller, who has built a good reputation in Norway, has been linked with Barnsley. Davey declined to comment on those reports. Kozluk has signed a two-year contract at <div id="ds-mpu"></div>Barnsley. Davey saw the 29-year-old at close quarters while they were both at Preston. "He played 20-odd games in the Premiership for Sheffield United last season. He has never been lower than the Championship. We're getting him at his peak," he said. Davey added that Kozluk had turned down a move to Derby County during the January transfer window. Werling has joined Davey's squad initially on a six-month loan from his Turkish club. After that, Barnsley have an option to buy. Davey revealed that he concluded deals for Kozluk and Werling after Robbie Williams turned down a new Barnsley contract. Williams' future is on hold. "So far no club has matched our valuation of him," Davey stressed. Players reported back for pre-season training at Oakwell today. Missing was Peruvian striker Miguel Mostto, who is expected to arrive in the UK tomorrow and join the squad on Monday.</div>
I've got a good feeling about this season I just hope Davey gets all these players to gel. And hopefully speaking one language.
aye true enough I'm hoping that the foreign players will come over here wanting to prove they're good enough, rather then just being content taking home a wage from a Championship club. And fingers crossed Mostto's bagged 20 by Christmas.
Hmmmm...... it says two year contract and yet i'm sure I saw elsewhere that Kozluk is on a three year deal. I didn't know that Werling is only on a six month loan. Here's hoping we sell a lot more season tickets. The club are doing their bit and now it's time for fans to buy a season ticket and do their bit as well.
The implication from this is that if Robbie had signed Davey wouldn't have signed Kozluk and Werling, which is a bit bizarre as I thought they were defenders not midfielders
I was sure Kozluk played rightback for the Blunts!!!!! that says he is a leftie (dunno) (dunno) (dunno)
Loan with an option to buy is surely better. Try before you buy, etc. Similar principle stopped us paying a six figure sum for Rajczi.
RE: Loan with an option to buy is surely better. Yeah and also the reason we haven't heard anything about Kyel Reid I reckon.
Really? Interesting interpretation. Just says that those signings were concluded after Williams turned down a contract, doesn't necessarily mean they are connected. Just sounds like newspaper speak to get from one story to another.
RE: Really? I think you missed the point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (more exclamations than the whole of the official site in one post!)
