Barnsley chairman Gordon Shepherd says they are in constant negotiation with Lillestrom over the possibility of signing goalkeeper Heinz Muller.

The Norwegian side want to bring in a replacement before agreeing to a deal.

Shepherd told BBC Radio Sheffield: "He's still a player in Norway, and until they sign another keeper I doubt that they will let Muller out.

"But we are talking to them about him constantly. I would like to see him here sooner rather than later."

    Worry is

That until he's signed other teams could come in and nick him from under our noses. No confirmation that he has signed anything at this stage.

    RE: Worry is

I read somewhere that a contract had been agreed whether he was to sign now or when his current deal runs out. We're probably not wanting to say anything incase we agree a fee.

    Hope so

As I really would like to see a new keeper come in.
