Transfers so far:
Ade Akinbiyi: Sheffield United to Burnley - £750,000 Michael McIndoe: Barnsley to Wolves - £250,000 Grant McCann: Cheltenham to Barnsley - £100,000 Brian Stock: Preston to Doncaster - Undisclosed David Lucas: Unattached to Barnsley - month

My favourite so far: George Boyd [Stevenage - Peterborough] £260,000 League Two teams spending £260k. Championship teams offering £25k. What's wrong with this picture? I'm just waiting for us to be renamed "AFC Barnsley".
RE: My favourite so far: Thing is if we spent £260k on someone from Stevenage there'd be uproar.

However, actions from oakwell don't seem to match words at the moment.

if we were linked with someone from stevenage there would be uproar thenwe'd miss out on the player and they would go on to be the next eastwood/nugent/KZR and again it would be; "i said we should have signed him" fickle!!!
RE: My favourite so far: I think if we were in League Two & spent £260k on someone from Stevenage ... people would be pretty happy. However - a Championship club spending £100k on someone who was playing in League Two 6 months ago & then offering £25k for a current League Two player is somewhat uninspiring. witemptywalletart.
RE: My favourite so far: Peterborough's new owner is giving Barry Fry the dosh to buy the best players in the conference. Fry has always done that wherevers he's been. The beter players at that level would have no problem in the Championship
RE: My favourite so far: I think he's more of a winger, there's been a lot of talk about him for the past couple of seasons. Newcastle were sniffing last year. It's the highest ever fee for a non league player. In my opinion Donaldson and Woolford at York wouldn't have a problem getting in BFC first eleven. I know it sounds daft but there's some cracking players at that level
RE: My favourite so far: I heard our scouting destinations were more to do with pub recommendations from the Real Ale Guide than where the decent footballers were.
