Barnsley manager Andy Ritchie:
"We should have been 3-0 up before they scored - if you miss your chances like we are, you are forever defending something that's not there," he said.

Drop the so called bloody Strikers then and stop bringing Wright on !!!

No I didn't go and all you are saying is they played well but failed to score....

Striker plays well makes a mistake...no goal
Should have been 3-0....failed to take chances, same old story.
All I'm saying is this squad is not good enough, I said it before the season started and my main points have always been Defender and Striker required.

We appear not to be able to afford anyone any better than we have so we are stuck with leaking goals and not being able to hit the target at the other end.

The attacking build up play is good and good to watch but no end product.

    So then Mr Ritchie,

Why do you consistently play two strikers who prove they can't put the ball in the back of the net.

Richards might have 6 goals but frankly he's missed ten times that many

And don't get me started on Wright. He shouldn't be washing kits never mind playing up front.

Now take your own advice and play / buy strikers who know how to score goals.

We broke the bank on a pair of proven strikers in Hendrie and Wilkinson and got promoted.

We got lucky and brought in Hignett and got to the play offs, even though we leaked as many as we scored.

This year. Two strikers who couldn't hit a cows ar$e with a banjo. Bottom of table.

It's not rocket science Mr. Ritchie, you've identified the problem yourself, now sort it, before we're looking at 1 point from 60 instead of 1 point from 18.

RE: No I didn't go and all you are saying is they played well but failed to score....

The amount of posts on here last night complaining from people who didn’t go to the match was shocking.

We played well and conceded two good goals, we also should have had a goal in the 92nd min. Replays showed Devaney was at least 2-3 yards onside for the disallowed goal, can’t do much about it but having a go at our strikers isn’t good for their confidence.

It annoys me when people who didn’t go are quick to voice their opinions while the match is been played or just finished.

Andy Richie can only work with what he’s got, don’t you think he would have liked to have signed Chopra or whoever? At the end of the day all the players we’ve been linked with have joined established Championship clubs. It’s money what’s the problem. I know for a fact we could have had Chopra, Horsefield and Shipperley. But the wages we offered were poor. Nothing to do with Richie. Remember even Shuker turned down a new deal after been offered less than last season.

It’s all good labelling players greedy but at the end of the day it’s a job and get as much as you can in a short career. Sheppard waited for Chopra's contract to run out before going for him. Cardiff agreed to pay a small amount to to take him before it run out. Just hope that the £125.000 Cardiff payed for Chopra was spent equally well by us as, asit looks like we would have made a big profit come the end of the season regarding the money you get for finishing higher in the league.

One does not have to attend

every game to spot the bleeding obvious.

We concede roughly 2 goals a game

    generally late

We generally play well but fail to take our chances and late on we lose concentration and ballax it up.

Does that some the game up?

    LLLDLLLL fantastic.

a goal that didn't count scored by someone who is not a striker....

and by the way I have been following Barnsley for the last 35 years, my two son's and myself are season ticket holders...I choose not to go to away games because.... I'm not spending every weekend at a match, much as I would like to, its nice to see the Mrs when I have been working all week.

Evening games....its hard enough getting back from work for Home games...
